The guy is asking 5500 for it, it definitely needs a full and complete restoration, but from the pictures, at least it looks like all the body panels are there (and possible repairable) and most of the interior, it is an automatic, but according to the listing there is a V8 (assuming it's the 4.5L) under the hood, but no pictures. He also says that there is a parts car that comes with it, I assume it is a 64-66 Barracuda as well, seeing as how he doesn't say. Says no title for the parts car, so, 5500, spend a good 15k restoring this one to be a cruiser, then the parts car, maybe a good 10k to be your track or drag car? The possibilities are endless!

Might be CP by a slim margin, but pretty slim.

This may also be relevant to your interests.
Also this.

If the floor pans were solid, and the engine could turn over, and it was numbers matching, I could see 5500 for it. Unfortunately he doesn't mention any of that.

Those things are sexy, what are they?
![]() 02/28/2014 at 13:11 |

Yeah, it is pretty good looking, it looks like it took a page straight out of the Corvette's book with that rear curved glass as well.

'49 Caddy, '51 Pontiac. There was a brief fastback craze at GM for a couple years post WWII that disappeared again just as quickly. I WANT THEM ALL

agreed on this. Slim, but the pipe is visible

I am an absolute sucker for fastbacks and hot hatches, I love curvy cars. That Caddy has some amazing styling to it.

gallons of droooool!!!! Yet, the RS7 doesn't tickle my fancy one single bit, strange :]

exactly sir, that curved glass is epic
![]() 02/28/2014 at 13:21 |

And the fact that it looks perfectly intact makes it all the sweeter.

i knoooow right. hopefully this gets saved

It seemed to be in a pretty salvageable condition, so hopefully someone goes and restores it, and I really want to see that parts car made into a rat rod or something, that would be awesome.

I like the Poncho more, because chrome fast lines, round-profile fins, and round tails speak to my predilictions quite strongly.

wow, seems like a decent deal.
Honestly the backglass is the crazy expensive extra part you'd need.

Yeah that was one of the things that stood out to me, the driver door may not have a door handle, but all that glass looks intact, and all the body panels are there. If the floor pans for good to go, and it can turn over, this would be a slam dunk with the parts car.
![]() 02/28/2014 at 13:30 |

Agreed!
The trick for a lot of older cars is if you see glass that has to make a big turn and it's intact, you're good. If you have to replace it you're screwed.

Oh yeah, you probably couldn't even find anyone that makes those rear windows anymore either, since this isn't the more popular generation of Barracudas.
But god damnit, the rear of that car does look sexy as hell, and those brake lights are intact!

Funniest thing, guy I bought my Montego off of, sold the Montego to fix his Cuda, blew the clutch in it.
So I send pics of the Montego to my dad after I buy it and he's like I love the car looks great, why didn't you buy the Cuda instead!? Only logical answer was...that one was insanely more expensive than the Montego lol. My dad apparently doesn't miss a thing! Here it is lurking in the background of my Montego pics:

That Cuda in the background does look pretty good. And the Montego wasn't a bad looking car when you got it, but, why does it look like it has a slight lean, or was that the driveway?

Driveway some, camera angle more lol.
I intend to make it actually lean more when I'm done with it.

Ahh I can kinda see it now.
Going to rehash the whole suspension?
![]() 02/28/2014 at 15:22 |

no, not that intense, just bigger wheels/tires and shackles in the back.
A friend of mine with a 68 Torino may hook me up with his set, he's thinking of going back to stock wheels/suspension height.

Not a bad idea, I love old American cars with some fatty rear tires. What are shackles?

Was trying to get a "before and after" image on a car but I'm failing lol.
Basically they allow you to relocate the leaf spring rear suspension by an inch or two. And by relocate I mean drop it, which allows the car's rear end to sit higher. Think of it as a rear-end only lift kit, you know that aggressive forward lean muscle cars have? That's one of the ways they do it (and it's cheap).

Ahh alright. That is awesome. I'm still really new to fixing cars and modifying things. So every now and then I'll probably ask things to pick your brain.

no problem. I'm far from an expert but I'll give any answers I can!
